Part of running a successful channel on Twitch is finding the right username for it. You want to find the best name to fit not only your personality and streaming content, but also something that will stick in people’s minds.

When you start out on Twitch, odds are that you are going to have a username that you won’t want to stick with in the long-run. When you run into this issue, you are going to want to change your username to something that sticks.

The process of changing your Twitch username is incredibly easy, and we have you covered on it right here.

  1. Change Your Username in Twitch Settings
  2. Do More On Twitch with Kapwing

Go to Twitch Settings

The first thing you need to do is head over to Twitch and sign in to your account. Once you are on the dashboard, look in the top right corner of your screen and click on your profile icon.

This will open up a drop-down menu and you will look down the list to find Settings. Click on this to go to the settings menu.

Access your Twitch settings to change your username.

Scroll down the page to find the Profile Settings section. In this section, you can change a handful of things that you can change, including your username. There will be a text box here where you can enter your new username in order to change it.

This textbox allows you to enter your new username.

However, as you can see in our screenshot above, you can only change your username every 60 days. So once you have changed the username, you won’t be able to do so again until after the 60 day period is over.

So be sure that whatever username you enter is the right one for you, as you will have to wait until you change it again.
