Whether you're celebrating a wedding anniversary, friend-iversary, birthday, or company milestone, a video can commemorate a relationship and bring joy to a loved one's face.

Get started now: Open Kapwing's Slideshow Maker and celebrate the occasion with a touching video with text and music added.

In this article, I am going to show you how to create the best Happy Anniversary Video online using a free online slideshow editor. In this tutorial, you'll combine photos, music, stickers, text, and quotes into a special anniversary video that you can share with your spouse or publish on social media.

To create a Happy Anniversary video, follow these steps:

  1. Open Kapwing
  2. Upload your photos and videos
  3. Add music
  4. Export and download

Step 1. Open Kapwing

Head over to Kapwing, a free online montage maker that helps people make anniversary videos for free. Click on the Slide show maker and start creating.

Step 2. Upload your photos and videos

The perfect anniversary video includes all sorts of multimedia content that fits you and your partner's relationship. Gather your memorable pictures, scan in old photos, find home videos, download clips from Instagram and Snapchat archives, and source clips from your friends. You can also record a new selfie-style video reminding your spouse of how much they mean to you.

When you are in the slideshow maker, start uploading your pictures or videos. You can add as many or as few scenes to the anniversary slideshow as you'd like. Click and drag the areas into the dotted drop box or paste the URL of pictures from imgur, Dropbox, Google Drive, or other websites. Kapwing supports PNGs, JPEGs, MOV, MP4, GIFs, and most other popular image and video file types.

Drag the files to rearrange the ordering of the anniversary slideshow. Then, use the "edit duration" button to change how long each photo stays on screen. Make them last longer to slow down the slideshow or less time to speed it up.

On the left-hand side you can customize the content such as the background color, fit/zoom, and aspect ratio. Watch the video preview by clicking the play button. Once you are satisfied with your product, click on the Edit in Studio button under the preview on the right hand menu.

Step 3. Add music

To take your anniversary video to the next level, I highly recommend adding music with some personal value. On the top menu bar, navigate to the Audio option. Choose your anniversary music – maybe something nostalgic, romantic, or memorable for you as a couple – directly from YouTube, or record a loving message as an MP3.

Upload the MP3 or MP4 file that you want to use as the soundtrack for your celebratory anniversary video. Or, paste a YouTube URL to import the music from an online video. When you are finished adding your music, click Done.

Step 4. Export and Download

When you are satisfied with your video, it's time to save! Click the red Export button and watch as your video starts to render. It may look complicated, but don't worry – it will be done in about a minute.

Once it has finished, click Download from the list on the right. If you're not signed into a Kapwing account, sign in or sign up using your Google or Facebook account – once you've signed into a Kapwing account, the watermark in the lower right corner will be removed from your final image.
