Yes, Kapwing's image overlay tool is free for all users.
Is there a watermark on exports?
If you use Kapwing on a Free account, then all exports — including Overlay Image — contain a watermark. Once you upgrade to a Pro account, the watermark is completely removed from your creations.
How to overlay images with Kapwing
To overlay two images with Kapwing, create a new project, then click to upload your photos. Drag to adjust size and position of each photo. Right click, then select "Send forward" or "Send backward" to change which image displays on top. Add borders or adjust opacity with sliders in the righthand toolbar.
How to overlay photos on iPhone or Android
If you want to overlay images on iPhone or Android devices, open the Kapwing studio in your mobile browser. Click to upload your photos, then drag to adjust size and position. Change which image overlays on top of the other, add borders, round corners, and adjust lighting and saturation using the bottom toolbar. Then click "Export Project" to download your image overlays as JPEG, PNG, or WebP.
