Twitter is full of amazing content, from photos to memes to videos. We have all found something on the social media platform that has really made us laugh, cry, learn, or all three at once.

Sometimes, you find something that you really want to keep for yourself without having to dig through your timeline to find it again. With the beauty of the internet, taking a video from Twitter and converting it into an MP4 can take less than a minute. I recommend using Kapwing to save any Twitter video to your computer for you to use however you want. Here's how to get started:

  1. Upload Video to Kapwing’s Video Converter
  2. Export the Video as an MP4
  3. Download or Share Your Video

Step One: Upload Video to Kapwing’s Video Converter

Head over to Kapwing’s Video Converter and you will be met with three different options of what you can do with your video.

You are going to want to paste your Twitter video's URL.

Find the Paste a URL box on the right. This is where you will paste the URL from the tweet you want convert into an MP4. Once you have pasted the URL in the bar, the website will automatically begin uploading the video into the Kapwing Studio.

Step Two: Export the Video as an MP4

You will see your video in the timeline for the studio, and you will see a lot of options for you to change your video. You can edit a lot of different things, depending on what you want to do with it.

Exporting your video will make it an MP4.

Once you've finished all the edits you want to make, look in the upper-right corner of your screen to the red button that says Export Video. Clicking on this button will send the video to be processed and exported through the website's cloud services.

Step Three: Download or Share Your Video

Your video will be sent to Kapwing’s cloud services to process and a new screen will come up showing you that process.

There are a lot of things that you can do with your video.

Once the video is exported and ready to go as an MP4, another screen will appear that gives you plenty of options for your video:

  • Download the file to your computer.
  • Head back into the studio for more editing.
  • Copy the file.
  • Share it on various social media platforms.
  • Get an embedding link.
  • Start an entirely new project.

We recommend downloading the video to your computer just to have it, and if there is anything you end up wanting to do later on, the video will also be in your Kapwing workspace, where you can do all of this as well.

Converting a Twitter video into an MP4 is easier than you may think, and with Kapwing’s Video Converter, it can be done in a matter of minutes.
