Is the Translate to Polish tool free?
Yes, our Translate to Polish tool is free for all users to try. If you are using a Free Account, you get three minutes of dubbing and ten minutes of auto-subtitling per month. After upgrading to a Pro Account, you get 80 monthly minutes of dubbing, plus access to Voice Cloning and 300 minutes of subtitles translation.
Is there a watermark on exports?
If you are using a Free Account, then all exports — including from the Translate to Polish tool — will contain a small watermark.
How many voices does the AI voice library support?
Our Translate to Polish tool has a built-in AI voice library with 180 unique voices to select from. You can filter by age, gender, use case, and accent to find exactly the right tone and delivery for your messaging.
How can I get the best quality out of voice cloning?
While it is possible to clone a voice from five-second voice samples, the more audio samples you provide our voice cloning tool, the more natural and exact you cloned voice will be. To get a cloned voice filled with human emotion, it's best to upload or record a few three to five-minute samples. Doing this helps the AI capture all of the nuances in intonation and cadence, producing the best possible voice clone for you.
Does Kapwing support translation into other languages?
Kapwing supports translation into over 100 languages for subtitles and transcripts, with support for AI Voice Dubbing in 40+ languages.
How does AI voice dubbing work?
Generative AI is a key aspect of the AI voice dubbing process. Kapwing uses automatic speech recognition libraries, like Whisper developed by OpenAI, to extract the text from the video, then translates it using one of our MT vendors.
To dub the video, the translated transcript is transformed into a synthetic voiceover, and both the video and voice timing are adjusted to create proper matching. Kapwing also uses LLMs to adjust the length of the translated text (if it is too long or short compared to the original language), localize the text into the selected dialect, clean the audio layer, and remove filler words from the transcript. Kapwing is the only platform that incorporates generative AI for transcription, translation, text-to-speech generation, and video/audio editing in one seamless workflow.
Can YouTube translate subtitles?
Yes, YouTube offers an automatic subtitle translation feature. When you upload subtitles to your YouTube video, enable the "Translate" option. YouTube's translation algorithm then uses machine learning to automatically translate the subtitles into various languages, which users can choose as they watch the video.
Keep in mind that the accuracy of YouTube's auto-captions may vary, and reportedly they tend to be only 60-70% accurate. Coupled with translating to a new language, and accuracy likely worsens. You can improve them by manually editing your subtitles files or full-length videos using an AI-powered tool like Kapwing.
Can I translate song lyrics?
Yes, you can translate lyrics by uploading an audio or video file, or by pasting a URL link to a music video. Open "Subtitles" from the left toolbar and click "Auto-subtitles". Choose an original language and a new output language. Within a couple of minutes a subtitle layer will be generated displaying the translated song lyrics. For improved results, try using our Remove Vocals tool that can separate the vocals and instrumentals.
Kapwing is free to use for teams of any size. We also offer paid plans with additional features, storage, and support.
