MP3s are the most popular audio file format on the web today. When editing MP3s, we often need to accomplish tasks like trimming, splicing audio, or overlaying one track on top of another. Luckily, the Kapwing Editor is the perfect MP3 editor for your audio content.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to increase the volume of an MP3 file in three easy steps using Kapwing. Let’s get started!

  2. Increase the Volume of Your MP3 File
  3. Download and Share Your MP3 File!

Step 1: Upload Your Audio or Start with Kapwing’s MP3 Editor

Whether you're new to Kapwing or have used it in the past, you can upload your audio by launching Kapwing in your browser, then clicking Start Editing or New Content. From here, you can choose to start with a blank canvas or upload your audio right away.

To upload your audio, select Click to Upload to find the MP3 in your file browser or drag and drop the file directly onto the canvas. You can also paste a link from YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, and more to import your media or sign in to Google Drive or Google Photos to upload the MP3.

Once your audio is uploaded, it will appear on the timeline with a blank canvas. You can preview and edit the MP3 as needed using Kapwing’s built-in editing features.

MP3 Editor

Alternatively, you can start by going directly to Kapwing’s MP3 Editor. Click Get Started and then select Upload File or paste a URL to begin editing.

Step 2: Increase the Volume of Your MP3 File

To increase the volume of your MP3 file, click on your audio file in the timeline, locate the Volume slider on the right side of the Studio, and drag the slider to the right to increase your audio’s volume as needed.

You can also increase the volume of your MP3 file by dragging the transparent purple line located on your audio in the timeline up.

Step 3: Download and Share Your MP3 File!

Once you are satisfied with your MP3 file’s volume, you can download it by either immediately clicking on the green Export Video button located on the top right of your workspace or selecting the drop down arrow directly to its right to export it as an MP3 file.

After rendering, you can share your MP3 file using the provided links or you can download the file to publish it directly to any desired platform. If you would like to make any changes, you can easily go back into your workspace and make any edits as needed.
