TikTok only gives you two options for  music or audio: you must either select music from TikTok’s on-app music library or use the video's original audio track.

To use any other music, you have to go elsewhere to add your own, original sound to your video. If you're not used to using easy and efficient software, this can take a long time, especially if you like to post on TikTok frequently. Thankfully, it’s not too difficult – let me show you how:

  1. Upload Your Video(s)
  2. Add/Adjust Audio
  3. Download

Step One: Upload Your Video(s)

Head on over to Kapwing.com in your browser and select Start Editing. Hit the Upload button and select the video you're going to post on TikTok.

If you don’t already have a premade TikTok you’re adding the audio to, don’t fret! You are going to instead go to the “Video Maker” tool in which you can piece together numerous videos. For that tool, the process of adding audio is identical — simply click “Edit Audio” and then move on to step two!

Step Two: Add/Adjust Audio

Once your content is fully uploaded, select the Audio button and upload your audio. You can add your music in two ways:
• Paste a link to music you found online. You can use YouTube videos, SoundCloud tracks, Instagram videos, Twitter videos, and other locations.
• Upload music or audio tracks you have saved on your phone.

Once it's been uploaded to the Studio, you can edit the sound of the original audio layer and the new audio. Most likely, you'll want to select your video layer, tap the Edit Video button, and hit the Mute tool to get rid of your video's original audio.

Step Three: Download

When you’re satisfied with the end product, select the red Export button and Kapwing will process your video! Tap to download and the video will be saved straight to your phone.

If you're not signed into a Kapwing account, sign in or sign up using your Google or Facebook account – once you've signed into a Kapwing account, the watermark in the lower right corner will be removed from your final video.

Once your video is saved to your phone's Photos, upload your original TikTok to the app. Now, the sound title displayed on the bottom of your TikTok will read as original. Other TikTokers can choose to use your audio in the future or you can reuse it yourself!
