Instagram brings in over a billion (yes, with a B!) users every month, all there for visual content alone. You probably find some of your favorite pictures, videos, and creators on Instagram, but it's also a great place to share the photos and videos you found elsewhere.
- Copy the link to the video you want to repost
- Upload it to the Kapwing Studio
- Download & post on Instagram
Step 1: Copy the link to the video you want to repost
If you can find your video online or on a social media platform, you can download & repost it on Instagram – it's that simple. On Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube, right-click on the video while it's playing and choose "Copy Video Link" or "Copy Video Link at Current Time." If you're using your phone, find the Share button and choose "Copy link." Now you're ready to save and repost any video to Instagram.
If you want to repost a video from TikTok from a user who has disabled downloads, they've recently made it slightly more difficult, but it's still pretty easy. You'll have to go to the video on your web browser – send the link to yourself and open it on your computer. To the lower right of the video, you'll see a URL with "Copy" next to it. Just click "Copy" and you'll be able to to use this link to save the video and repost it!
Step 2: Upload it to the Kapwing Studio
With your video link copied, head over to Kapwing.com and click "Start editing." Or, if you're already signed in, click "New Project," then "Start with Studio." This will take you to the Kapwing Studio, where you can use all of Kapwing's video editing tools in one place. Now, just right-click on the URL field and choose "Paste." The video will be uploaded to the Studio in just a few seconds.
While you’re in the Studio, you can make any edit your video needs:
Step 3: Download & post on Instagram
Once your file is done uploading to the Studio, you’re ready to process it. Just click “Publish” in the top right corner of the window and your video will begin to process. Once Kapwing is done processing, simply click “Download." (If you're using an iOS device to download a video, you might need to use the Kapwing mobile app from the App Store)
Once your live photo has been saved as a video in your camera roll, it's easy to upload to Instagram: all you need to do is open Instagram and go to the upload tab in the middle of the bottom menu. Choose the "Library" tab for your camera roll to pop up, and your live photo video should be the most recent thing shown. Just select the right video and you'll be ready to share it to your followers.
