Photo effects and filters can make an ordinary picture into something eye-catching and fun, but there are other options for creating one-of-a-kind photos. Now you can add stickers to photos to make scroll-stopping images. That's right! Stickers are no longer just for accessorizing planners and notebook paper.

Stickers come in a variety of styles to take an image to the next level. Hand-lettered stickers are useful for expressing thoughtful or funny messages, and minimal sticker designs add a simple yet visually-appealing touch to a photo. Jazz up birthday photos with balloon stickers, and create that popular plant parent aesthetic with succulent stickers.

Add stickers to photos to make any theme! In this article, I'll show you how to add stickers to photos online to bring your photos to life.

Open Kapwing Studio

Let's start by opening Kapwing studio. Kapwing is a free photo and video editor you can access online. No need to download software! Click to upload a photo or drag and drop your image into the studio. There's a place to paste a URL to an image as well.

Upload Stickers

In this example, I'll be using stickers that I made. To upload stickers from your computer, click Images then Upload or paste a URL to a sticker. If you need to find a sticker, click Images then Image Search to browse images from Google.

You can also snap a photo of something you've written down to make a hand-lettered sticker. Click Erase if the sticker has a background that needs to be removed.  The Erase brush makes it easy to get those hard to reach areas.

Arrange and Edit Stickers

Arrange the stickers onto your photo to achieve the desired look. Get creative by scaling the stickers and overlapping them! To edit a sticker's appearance, click it first, then head over to the right side of the studio and click Adjust. You can edit the brightness, saturation, contrast, and more.

Animate Stickers

Digital stickers are not only a great way to add creative imagery to a photo, but they can add cool effects too. I'll show you how to animate a sticker. This step is optional but a fun effect to test! First, select a sticker then, click Animate located at the top right corner of the studio.

After you click Animate, you'll see options five options and three speeds to choose from. In this example, I chose Vibrate as an animation for one of my stickers. If you decide to animate your stickers, it will change the format from an image to a video.

Export and Download

Once you've created your stickers and arranged them onto the image, click Export and Download so your photo can make its debut! If you're exporting a video, wait a few moments for it to process. When it's ready, you can download the MP4 file. Show off your stickers and photo editing capabilities online to family and friends.
