How do Kapwing Credits Work?

How many credits does each plan get?

The Free Plan comes with the following credits and limits:
30 minutes monthly video export limit
2 minutes lifetime for Text to Speech*
1 minute lifetime for lip-syncing
10 minutes per month for auto-subtitles
10 minutes per month for auto-translating of subtitles
10 AI Credits per month

The Pro Plan comes with the following credits and limits:
Unlimited monthly video export limit
80 minutes monthly for Text to Speech*
15 minutes per month for lip-syncing
300 minutes per month for auto-subtitles
300 minutes per month for auto-translating of subtitles
500 AI Credits per month

The Business Plan comes with the following credits and limits:
Unlimited monthly video export limit
200 minutes monthly for Text to Speech*
30 minutes per month for lip-syncing
900 minutes per month for auto-subtitles
900 minutes per month for auto-translating of subtitles
2000 AI Credits per month

The Enterprise Plan comes with the following credits and limits:
Unlimited monthly video export limit
Custom minutes monthly for Text to Speech*
60 minutes per month for lip-syncing
Custom minutes per month for auto-subtitles
Custom minutes per month for auto-translating of subtitles
5000+ AI Credits per month

How many credits does AI Dubbing use?

Dubbing is not listed separately in the breakdown above as it is part of the Text to Speech limits. If you are dubbing only and not using Text to Speech for anything else, such as AI-generated videos with stock voice narration or using the Text to Speech function, you will have up to the tier's limits of Text to Speech for dubbing per month.

Therefore, the AI dubbing limits would be:
2 minutes of lifetime for Free Workspaces
80 minutes monthly for Pro Workspaces
200 minutes monthly for Business Workspaces
Again, this is within the Text to Speech limits, not in addition.

How many AI Credits correspond to AI generations?

Depending on what you generate, the amount of AI Credits used will vary. If you are generating an image, it would cost anywhere between 4-6 credits. A video would be 20+ credits depending on the length, resolution, and model. Before generating your AI content, you can preview the cost underneath the prompt box:

Can I buy more credits on the Business plan?

We do not offer a self-serve plan that includes more than the limits offered in our Business Plan. If you want more limits than our Business Plan, you would have to sign up for our Enterprise Plan. Our Enterprise Plan is tiered pending the usage and limit requirements of your team. To upgrade to Enterprise, you can contact us here.

Can I get a refund of credits if there's an error?

When limits fail, our system will automatically issue back credits.

For example, if you dub a 5-minute video, we will deduct 5 minutes before the dubbing, but after the failure is processed, our system will automatically re-issue those 5 minutes. If you believe there is an issue with your credits, please contact our team for assistance.

For AI generation credits, much of the results depend on the prompting of the AI. If the AI does not generate a video or image to your liking, you will have to try again with a more precise prompt. Since the AI is working as intended, we do not issue refunds for generations that were successful but not fully as intended.

Where can I see the number of credits I've used?

To review how many limits you have used throughout the month, you can go to your Workspace > Settings> Billing, and you will see the breakdown of how many credits you have used.
