If you've seen the 5 Looks Challenge in your Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram feed, you probably have a good idea of what it is – 5 different photos of you, each with a look as different as possible from the others. Halloween pictures are perfect for this, since nothing sets a photo apart from your typical look like a costume.

But how is the challenge actually created? If you post it on Facebook, it's simple – you can just attach 5 different photos to your post, and they'll all be displayed in your friends' feeds. But on Twitter or Instagram, you'll probably want to make a photo collage, since the platforms themselves won't allow you to post 5 photos that are all visible from users' feeds.

What is the 5 Looks Challenge?

The premise of this challenge is pretty simple. You want to show off your range: how many different looks have you been able to pull off? It's an opportunity for you to celebrate all the different ways you're able to steal the spotlight. Here are a few examples of people pulling out all the stops to serve up 5 impressive looks:

Remember: range is key! You want to make sure each of your photos is completely different from the others. Try to grab pictures from times when you wore a wig, had a different hair color, or were sporting a costume. That's how you know your #5LooksChallenge will be a big hit.

How to Do the 5 Looks Challenge on Instagram or Twitter

Step 1: Open the Kapwing Studio

If you want to create a 5 Looks collage for Instagram or Twitter, the Kapwing Studio is an easy place to start. Head over to Kapwing.com and click "Start editing" to enter the Studio. Here, I recommend choosing "Start with a blank canvas" – this way, you can choose the aspect ratio you want to use for your collage. For your looks to look their best on both platforms, I recommend something square or a bit taller – either 1:1 or 4:5 would be best.

Step 2: Upload 5 Photos of You with Different Looks

I hope you picked out your 5 different looks before getting started, but it's okay if you didn't! Click the "Upload" button in the upper toolbar and search for the 5 pictures you want to use in your file browser or camera roll. If some of them are stored online, in places like Google Drive or Facebook posts, you can also upload them to the Studio by pasting the link in the URL field.

Here's mine, even though it's... not very flattering. Since you're putting all 5 photos on the same canvas, you should arrange them like a collage. There are a bunch of different formats for you to use, so get creative!

Step 3: Export & Download

When your collage is all arranged and it looks just the way you want it to, hit the red Export button in the upper right corner of the Studio and your picture will be ready to download in just a couple seconds. Now, click the Download button on the right and you're ready to post!

Step 4: Share on Social Media

Once you've saved your #5LooksChallenge collage, go to the social media platform where you want to post it. On Facebook, just start making a post and click "Photo or video" under the text box. On Instagram, you can only post from your phone, so tap the + button in the middle of the bottom bar on your homepage. And on Twitter, select the image button right under the text box where you compose a tweet – that's where you can upload your 5 Looks Challenge collage.
