New Features ✨

Generate, Translate, and Repurpose from the Workspace

Access Translate, Repurpose Studio, and the AI Video Generator workflows directly from the Workspace. We added new icons to make these popular tools easier to spot, just one click away.

With fewer clips, these entry points speed up bulk editing and supports Enterprise customers making lots of video content.

Auto-Detect Languages

Don't know the language of a video? Kapwing can now auto-detect the language of the transcript. We hope that this new default reduces mistakes made in selecting the language while still giving creators full control.

Translate Tab

Try out the new "Translate" tab for caption translation and audio dubbing! Now, you can see your transcript and translation side-by-side, making it easier to review the dubbing pipeline, make manual changes, and map one chunk of text to the other.

Designed for professional localization and internationalization teams, the Translate Studio serves professionals hoping to expand to new global markets.

Comments Mode

We know that getting comments from colleagues is important for dubbing, translation, and subtitles, so we invested in making this asynchronous collaboration easier. Now, comments mode persists as you open the subtitles tab and make other changes to a project. This way, editors can review a list of comments from colleagues or clients and make changes without having to open "Comments" every time. To close the comments pane, tap the chevron.

We also added the ability to select and copy/paste text from a comment. Previously, clicking a comment would automatically open a reply, making it difficult to select text. Now, Kapwing users can make changes to text directly from comments using their clipboard.

Updates 🔧

  • Speaker focus and smart curt respect cuts made in the timeline
  • Un-launched YouTube pasted links for free users. YouTube has put major restrictions on programatic downloads, even if the creators is editing their own content. As a result, we've restricted YouTube pasted links to our paid customers only.
  • Combined Images, Videos, and Elements tab into "Visuals" tab on the left-side bar
  • New implementation of pronunciation based on literal rather than phonetic pronoucnation
  • Re-dub a video with different settings to make updates to the voice , timing configurations, or upload an SRT file
